How to Apply for HEAP
Online: Apply through the New York State HEAP portal. This is the fastest way to apply.
By Paper Application: Print and complete the application. When the program opens, submit it according to your county’s guidelines.
For eligibility requirements and detailed program information, you can visit the official HEAP resources provided by New York State.
What Heap Covers
If you’re approved for HEAP benefits, you may receive assistance for:
- Bioheat® fuel
- Propane
- Kerosene
- Heating system service, repairs, or installations
- Emergency heating situations
